Coaching enables someone to get from where they are now to where they want to be, achieving their objectives more successfully and faster than if they were to work alone. Coaching itself is the action-led relationship between the coach and the coachee.

How do we do it?

Numerous skills and techniques are employed to get the client from where they are to where they want to be.

One well known model is the TGROW model:

If being brought in to coach someone who you haven't met it's important to meet/talk to them informally before the first real session to ensure they are clear about what coaching is and are happy to progress.

First real session is commonly longer to allow for relationship development and goal clarification.

Usually takes a few sessions to see any progress and up to 6 to obtain a lasting change, although this obviously depends very much on the person and the goals. Have made huge impact in one session (see second testimonial above).
